You could say I'm a fan.
If I could make amazingly rich hot chocolate from all of the different chocolates & heavy cream, every time I turned around, I would! But I can't.. could get a little expensive!
So, my mom, sister, & I have been on the hunt of the best hot chocolate that is easy, inexpensive, & yet still very, very yummy..
I do believe we have a winner.
Here she is! (:
For Microwave Single Serving:
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa
- 1 - 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- Dash Of Salt
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
- Whipped Topping - Optional
- Cinnamon - Optional
In a liquid measuring cup, heat milk in the microwave, on HIGH (100%), for 1-1/2 minutes, or until hot.
Gradually add hot milk into cocoa mixture, mixing well.
Once incorporated, stir in vanilla, & top with whipped cream & cinnamon, if desired. Enjoy!
For Stove Top Four Servings: - Fav!
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 Cocoa
- Dash Of Salt
- 1/3 Cup Hot Water
- 4 Cups Milk
- 3/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
- Whipped Topping - Optional
- Cinnamon - Optional
Mix sugar, cocoa, & salt in saucepan, then stir in the water.
Cook & stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Continue to let the mixture boil for 2 minutes. STIR! STIR! STIR! Nothing like burnt hot chocolate.. Icky!
Then pour milk into the chocolate mixture & heat, but DO NOT boil.
Once hot, remove from heat & add in the vanilla. Pour into cups & top those beauties with a heap of whipped topping & a dash of cinnamon. Drink up!
Stay warm & cozy my peeps.(:
