I Am Never Having Jarred Spaghetti Sauce Again.

So. So. Good.
  • 1 Pound Italian Sausage
  • 1 Large Sweet Onion, Chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 28 Ounces Diced Tomatoes
  • 6 Ounces Italian Tomato Paste
  • ½ Cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Teaspoons Dried Basil
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
  • Hot COOKED Pasta

In a soup pot, cook sausage, onion, & garlic, in oil, over medium heat, then drain any grease.

Stir in the remaining ingredients - diced tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, dried basil, salt, Italian seasoning, & pepper.
Bring sauce to a boil then, reduce the heat & simmer, uncovered, for about 1 ½ hours, or until flavors are blended.

Serve this delicious sauce over your perfectly cooked spaghetti & EAT!
Note - There is definitely some variation & flexibility in the recipe depending on your taste buds. In the past I have just used regular tomato paste, but added in a little more Italian seasoning; it was very good! SO you can always mix it up with whatever you like, or have on hand!
