Simple Sticky Buns

Some legit yumminess allll up in here.. Perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch! & they go fabulously with bacon, bacon, bacon!

  • 2 loaves (1 lb.) frozen bread dough, thawed; or 24 frozen dinner rolls, thawed
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 5.9 oz. pkg. cook & serve vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 T. milk
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. raisins, optional
If using loaves;
Cut each loaf into 18 pieces & arrange 1/2 of the dough in a greased 13X9" pan, then sprinkle the dough with cinnamon. In saucepan, over low, melt butter. Remove from heat & stir in sugar, pudding mix & milk. Pour sauce evenly over dough then sprinkle with nuts & raisins. Arrange other half of dough over the top then cover & refrigerate, overnight, or let stand at room temperature for 3 hours. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 35 minutes or until center sounds hollow. Once done, invert buns onto a baking sheet.

If using rolls;
Cut each roll in half & arrange half of the rolls in a greased 13X9" pan & sprinkle with cinnamon. In saucepan, over low, melt butter then remove from heat & stir in sugar, pudding mix & milk. Pour evenly over dough & sprinkle with nuts & raisins. Arrange the other half of rolls over top. Cover dish & refrigerate overnight or let stand at room temperature for 3 hours. Cook, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until center sounds hollow. Once done, invert buns onto a baking sheet.
